DJ Impact
Body: No Frills returns in 07 with our first offering for the new year @ Inhale Sydney's weekly dnb club on Thursday 25th Jan. Free entry and a public holiday the following day means this is a perfect night for some dnb silliness, with the No Frills crew.

It is also with great pleasure that DJ Impact of Revolution Recordings/Lucky Devil will be popping in to drop a set as he passes through Sydney, this is a fantastic opportunity to catch the man behind the label/s as he joins the No Frills team Dauntless, Dred, Madcow and Highly Dubious behind the decks.

His tight mixing skills have seen him play out regularly over the last 8 years, highlights include tours to: South Africa, Holland & Italy. alongside radio shows on Rude Fm (2002 - present Wednesday & Saturday's 8-10pm)
Production wise Impact has had 2 releases alongside Counterstrike, with "evil eyes' on Dynamic Recordings & 'Spinal Tap' on Cell.

The latest release from Revolution Recordings is our own ex pat's Nocturnal, this is a killer release from the boys, so hunt it down and support our own. This is the 12" info...

Cat. No: REVREC011
Release Date: Promos - 20th November - Full release - Jan/Feb 07
A : Nocturnal - 'Pokerface'
AA Nocturnal - 'Been so long'
--------------------------------------
Nocturnal are fast becoming the one of the hottest outfits on the circuit, blazing a trail with releases on Hardware, Freak and some heavy DJ support from the likes of Calyx, Dieselboy, Pendulum, Ed Rush, Dylan, Vicious Circle and Noisia
A good "Pokerface" is a difficult thing to master, but you can tell these fellas have got the steely art licked. Sounding like no other tune out there at the moment, this track is a unique throwback to the mid to late 90's sounds pioneered by the likes of Ed Rush & Optical, Matrix and co. Powerful bass-stabscombine with nasty drum edits and icy melodics to create a standout slice of future music.
"Been So Long" takes things in a completely different direction utilising the infamous amen-break to perfection. A pure end of the night classic, this track is a revolutionary journey from start to finish. Crashing drums, intricate, morphing b-lines and a beautiful vocal combine with these boys tight production skills to form a piece of heart-wrenching badness.
