Hey hope you’re enjoying our new song ‘Sound of Praise’. I just wanted to take a mo to let you know where it comes from as I think if we could really catch the heart beat of the song something powerful could happen!
When you think about it everything has a sound, there’s a lot of noise in this world all trying to get our attention. All you have to do is turn on the news and you’ll see that the loudest noises in our world today seem to be things like poverty, depression, anger, violence, despair…… and the rest! In our schools, colleges and places of work these sounds seem to be gaining in volume and showing no signs of decreasing.
I believe that God has called us for such a time as this, to be salt and light, to be His hands and feet, to stand up and make a noise for Him and that’s where you come in. There is a new sound that has to rise up. God is looking for His people to make a stand, to drown out despair and replace it with Hope. To drown out worry and replace it with peace, drown out violence and replace it with goodness.
I want you to realize that all of our actions have a sound. As we stand up and make a difference our lives give off a sound. Every time we advance the kingdom of God and push back the devil, every time we tackle fear, loneliness, helplessness or tackle injustice we bring praise to God and our lives give off the Sound of Praise.
My prayer is that you as an individual and that we as a group can bring the sound of hope, love, justice and freedom into our worlds and together we can make a difference. Hopefully this song will inspire you to get involved. The music is available for you for free in the Worship toolkit at www.Abundantlifeworship.co.uk
Come on, let’s lift up the sound of praise.
