And so it begins.



We started yesterday here at The Hearts pad in our small deluxe practice room. After bbq and smokes we went on lock down and started ripping apart tunes from a list of about 15.

and John turned red...and nervous...



And Juice and Tron made comments on the songs...



And we listened...




And Ryan Kendrick came to start documenting the making of the e.p. We are hoping to make a mini doc to give away with the release of the cd. check out his work at: virb. com/digitalbohemia



The day was tedious, but exciting. A mesh of ideas and cameras filled the room and we ended up with 7 songs to choose from and some new fresh ideas for arrangments. Sometimes it takes work to find those 3 chords and the truth. Moving on!



DAY 2-March 25th, 2008





I don’t think there is an official name for the studio we are working at today. Daughys? Anyway, Ian and Justin work from here a good bit and there is a great vibe to the place. I know I know...but it just does. We set up mics and Dave C. came off of a plane and in to the mix.

So we worked on the songs and recorded the whole thing...





And Ryan did his thing...



And Dave set things on fire...



Essentially, today we fleshed out small sections of the arrangments and worked through the general presentation we wanted each song to embrace. Still have to whittle the 7 songs down to 5 which is heartbreaking. And I’m sure we will piss someone off with the ones that we cut. We’ve waited so long to be getting these songs on tape...that everything is a bit of a blur right now. I think I will try to post a blog containing two days of pic and glory.
