Hey people!

We're out on tour, and things are going great!

Our first gig at the Blue Sky Room was a blast. Anna, the booker (and bartender, and super dancer) was great, as was the rest of the crew there. And the food was AMAZING - especially the delish chicken and veggie curry. It's very important to make sure you get your vegetables in before rockin' the house. We also want to give a big shout out to Ricko who was our first volunteer roadie of the tour. And, on a side note, if you haven't been to Dunsmuir, go! It's a really cute town, and there's a very peaceful river that runs through it. We stayed at a great little fishing cabin owned by Wayne Eng, master fly fisherman. Just a beautiful, wonderful way to start off the tour.

Oh and did we mention that Tom is a freakin' driving machine? He drove the whole way, from his place in Bellingham to Dunsmuir. That's 610 miles!

Last night we hooked up with our buddies 1/4 Mile Combo and rocked Thee Parkside in San Francisco. We helped them celebrate the completion of their CD - it sounds awesome.  Texas Steve opened (yes he's really from Texas and has the tattoo to prove it). Steve Merrit (formerly of Cari Lee and the Saddelites) was on guitar. Those guys sure sounded killer. Oh, and be sure to tune in this week to Shake The Shack because Leon is going to play a track or two from 1/4 Mile's new CD. And did you hear the rumor going around that Johnny 7 is having Leon's baby? Rumor or true??? You decide.

Right now we're sitting in the sunshine at our pal Gary's house (he's the drummer for1/4 Mile Combo, and one of our favorite people). It's just gorgeous here - birds chirping, breeze blowing, and finally Jonathan's stopped noodling on his guitar so there's a little peace and quiet. Tonight we play Sacramento at Marilyn's on K Street. Kirsten's cousin and friends are hooking up with us - fun! And we hope to see all you Sacramento folks out tonight too!

Stay tuned for our next installment...
