So here's the details of the trip to Italy to launch Zodiac Sessions Italia. All the dates and details were sorted before hand, obviously, by myself, Ray Heffernan, S.P. McGhee, Anthony Furey and Shane O'Feargaill of Dublin band, Caruso.

Met up with Anthony Furey in Grand Central on O'Connell Street in the afternoon of Saturday, September 20th. Had a couple of drinks and went to the airport to meet up with Shane from Caruso. Nice relaxing flight leading to Malpensa airport where we got collected by Ray Heffernan and rushed to Punto Radio station for the live performances and interviews. We received a round of applause as we entered the station from the people who had travelled to watch the show. We each did an interview with the guys at the station with Ray Heffernan translating for us. We will be posting the videos of the show as soon as we get our hands on the audio files from Punto Radio. Music performances were from Ray Heffernan & SP McGhee, Ivano & The Boys From Pisano, Shane from Caruso, Anthony Furey and Moksha.

After the gig we all went to Dirty Nellys for a few beers in an Irish bar. Bit strange over thers as it was after midnight on a Saturday night (well, Sunday morning) and there were probably only 30 people in there..... strange!!! I think we tripled the bars weekly takings that night. This place had the wierdest blood toilet I have ever seen. See the photos in the album.

Then we found a nightclub called Phenomenon and partied til the early hours! We had to show these guys how we do it back home!

So, Sunday morning, Rays house is hangover central!!! We spent the first couple of hours piecing together the night. Then off into Arona to set up for the launch in Ca' de Mat. Daidi, the owner of the place was kind enough to put us up in the apartments above the venue. After a while, the gig finally gets rolling with a full house! Music on the night from Ray Heffernan, S.P. McGhee, Anthony Furey, Shane from Caruso, Moksha & Paolo Saporiti. The night was a huge success and everyone music went down a treat with the locals. The night could not have gone any better. We met some amazing people there and real music lovers!

After the gig, we went to a small local cafe bar in Arona called Cheers. The owner, Fabrizio was so cool and welcoming. We closed the bar and had a lock-in 'til 6am! Absolutely crazy fun with singing, eating, joking and drinking! How about that for the launch night of Zodiac Sessions Italia??????

Monday was tourist day! We just walked around Arona and drove around the local areas. Amazing, beautiful, picturesque, scenic... take your pick! Then pack to Ray and Elizas (Rays wife) house for some pizza before going to Hostaria Dei Santi Numi, a wine bar and music venue in Amena where owner Valerio was closing up for the night but kindly invited us in for a while. We had a look around the beautiful courtyard and had a few beers and sampled some local honey (not as dab as it sounds!) The town is famous for its honey making. It was strange experience but enjoyed it all. Then back to Cheers for one or two.

Tuesday was lazy day  on which we just lazy day on which we did nothing but walk around town, eat and then myself and Anthony Furey went to the airport for our evening flight home.

The whole trip was just amazing and hopefully the start of something big. Thank you to all who were involed and all who supported.
