I met him a couple of times, when he was with Hendrix and in London in 1972. We stole a parking space from him near the American embasy and he came over to us in mock anger and we talked drums for almost half an hour. I was able to tell him what a huge influence he had been on drummers everywhere. Cant imagine what it would be like to be part of something that changed music forever. rest in peace friend.
