It..s been too long since I wrote anything on here. A lot has happened and I guess this will be a bit of an update.
TYFT has just finished recording a new CD. In addition to the regular trio (myself, Andrew D'Angelo and Jim Black) we have Chris Speed on tenor and clarinet and Peter Evans on trumpet as guests on this one. It will be released on Skirl Records early next year.
TYFT will be touring in Europe, May 5-18th 2009.

AlasNoAxis has also recently finished a new CD. It will also be released soon on Winter & Winter. Alas will be touring in Europe March 25th- April 15th 2009.

I also joined Trevor Dunn's new band "MadLove". We recorded a CD this year that hopefully will be released next spring. We played our first gig in England earlier this month at the All Tomorrows Parties festival. Lots of fun. Great band!!

I just received a new guitar. It is a "Hilmar Jensson signature model" from Moffa Guitars.
It is the most beautiful and best instrument I have ever played. It is built by Nico Moffa in Sicily. Impeccable workmanship and for those of you interested in GREAT guitars you should visit his web-page www.moffaguitars.it

Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Wow Hilmar- That all sounds fantastic. I look forward to hearing it all both on disc as well as live and hopefully seeing you play your new instrument in the process.
