Current mood:  artistic

In the middle of mixing my new album “One Good Thing” and revelling in it. The songs were recorded at Andy Barlow’s place in a total of about ten days over the past month or so.....

 ....

Things are a little hectic just now with so many Lamb shows at the four corners of Europe so every spare moment is going into mixing.....

 ....

Really excited about the way it’s sounding. I think it’s the most genuine expression of where and who I am I’ve ever been able to make.....

 ....

The past few years have been perhaps the most challenging I’ve ever faced but through these challenges I’ve found a strength and groundedness I never knew. I think more than anything I’ve realised that, though precious things and people come and go in life, music remains a constant and has quite literally saved my life on numerous occasions. This album is a testament to that.....

 ....

So for those of you asking if my solo project will cease to be a priority now that Lamb are playing live again the answer is a resounding “NO”. My heart is in my music as it ever was and more. ....

 ....

One Good Thing will be released this autumn and a UK tour is pencilled for late November. I hope to launch the new website once the mixing’s done and I have a little more headspace to dedicate to that. ....

 ....

Watch this space…....

O-ooooh yes! Was wondering if you would choose Lamb or your own music. Either way was fine by me. But if I'm honest : your own work and concerts are just so much more intense. SO much more meaningfull too. It takes more time too listen - really listen and feel what you're playing, but the songs and the lyrics only grow on you. Less poppy than Lamb, but so beautiful.
I absolutely adore your side-kicks with Cinematic Orchestra, as well.
And we are many to hope for an autumn tour in little old europe (Belgium that is).
See you in Bruges and maybe in Oudenaarde.

Wow this is trully excellent news Lou. I love your solo CDs AND i'm still a huge fan ofyour Lamb stuff. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to see you tour the US sometime soon. I hear you about challenging times. I had a very tough couple of years BUT music sure helps AND these tough times make us appreciate the precious good moments in life even more and do make us much stronger.
Big love to you. OH and i really look forward to the Lamb Live DVD coming out soon... Please keep us updated on that as well if you can...

..soooo awesome news!

& to hear that lamb are once again playing live shows??!!
(being a massive fan since the get-go& ever since, truly
my fav band ever) God, I'm dying to finally see you guys
play live for the 1st time ever, seriously (it's quite cruel
actually, to say the least)! Still have to find a way to get
to you overseas :-/ is it utterly ridiculous to still be wishing,
well after 13 years, for that epic one nite show in NYC, DC
or anywhere inbetween? hahah :-|

Although, Rome would be just as nice..
here's to wishful thinking during a 3 month crunch
of planning a trip to one of your last shows! .x

I look foward to hearing your new album. Your music is the window to your soul for those whom dont have the honor of personally knowing you. The passion you display is impressive and inspiring. Your lyrics contains wisedom and compassion coming from the source. The basis of all creation.

Peace be with you dear,
