So, 5 years in, 100s of gigs later and many miles travelled, it is with regret that, after no line-up changes so far, a member has chosen to leave Waking Theo. Ad has decided that the time has come to move on and, as of the end of August will no longer be a part of Waking Theo. You can read his thoughts below. We respect his decision and wish him the best.
"The most important thing in my life over the past 5 years has been this band. However, I have been offered, and have accepted, a job in France. I felt this was a life opportunity I could not afford to miss. Unfortunately, this means that my time in Waking Theo has to come to end. It's not something I ever wanted to have to say, but, that's life.
My thanks go out to everyone who's ever put us on, come to see us, listened to our tunes or shared a beer with us. Most importantly, my thanks go out to the 4 brothers I've had the pleasure of sharing the journey with. There've been highs and lows, but I've had the best 5 years you could imagine. But, the time has come to move on. The 4 motherfuckers I've shared the road with remain my best friends (and I hope they understand my decision).

Obviously, this has repercussions for us as a band. We've decided to sit back and regroup. Therefore, after our final tour in August, we will be on indefinite hiatus. We'll be taking an indefinite break as a band, what the future holds, time will tell. We thank everybody who has had a part in allowing us to achieve the goals which we have passed. You know who you are!
Make sure you get your ass to our final set of gigs!!!
