I realize now that food happens to be the second thing that I am most passionate about next to art. I have been contemplating starting up a Food blog and I wanted everyones imput on weather or not I should pursue this venture. I have eaten many places and I enjoy trying out new places wherever I go. People often ask me if I have eaten at a place to see if it would be worth them trying it out. So why not share all of these food experience with everyone. I think it would benefit the community to see what is out there. I can never find a local site that really talks about the local food of the town so I want to create my own.
For my first post I talk about my very own kitchen. Tonight I made some pan seared Tillapia fillet with my own rub. For my sides some sauteed mushrooms and some guacamole I made wich explains why there is a monstrous portion on my plate of the stuff. I also put a little bit of sweet chilli sauce on the side since I am a sucker for the sauces. The fried tillapia fillet is one of my favorite dishes to make since it is so readily available and affordable. It is a very quick and tasty dish to make. Tillapia has a very mild flavor and there is absolutely no fishy taste to it so it is very friendly to those who do not like fish because of fear of that fishy taste. It is also a meat that goes well with almost every kind of spice so the amout of recipes for tillapia is endless. The mushrooms are something I just came up with on the spot. Take some butter and olive oil and sautee the mushrooms in the pan and voila instant side dish :D
I do not pretend that I am a good cook but I do enjoy good food. Well who doesnt? So I shall keep trying out new places and food experiences and if everyone thinks that it would be good idea to start up a separate local food blog then let me know and I shall make it happen!!!
