I thoroughly enjoyed reading that, Keith. Very interesting, and I can relate, being a numismatist from about 10 years old.... As a collector I know that when something isn't right (like the smell of that book) you are not going to talk yourself into being satisfied with it.
On the book front--I know nothing of them on your level of collecting, but would love to find a copy of a novel done in woodcuts called "Mein Stundenbuch" by Frans Masereel (one of his pieces is on my Myspace page). I'd be willing to pony up for a decent copy of that. But--really enjoyed what you wrote. Glad you pointed it out. Carl
