Hello everyone,
I'm not into American holidays
(except for Thanksgiving because that involves eating, and I'd like to
think Halloween is just an average Black Taxi show, but I digress) However, I do like the idea of Labor Day. It marks the official end of
summer, and not wearing white paints, but the past couple of years I've
broken that rule, and seen other people do it as well. Who needs any more rules
on what you want to wear anyway?
It also marks the beginning of school, something I haven't experienced in a long fucking while. So what's the point of this?
Labor Day weekend is when Black Taxi goes to Montreal! Tradition is
very far and few with the band, but from the beginning of the formation,
Black Taxi has been going to Canada to celebrate America's great
pastime: no, not baseball, but doing nothing, drinking and being really
obnoxious in foreign countries. America, Fuck yeah?
By the way, every time we go up and make the drive, we usually have a theme record. The first year was Just Jack :

and last year was: "something about us" by Daft punk. we also made a little video:

What should this year's record be? MGMT? TV on the Radio?
What's a good record that YOU have been listening non-stop this summer?
We'd love to know!
I promise to write more in the future,
Krisana
