DSB hosts Americana Family Jamboree at Greyfox! Every thing went swimmingly at The Greyfox Bluegrass Festival this weekend.
The new site is really wonderful, with a gigantic stage and more room for camping. Its located near a fun loving area filled with Irish folk with Irish pubs, Irish giftshops and Irish resorts and motels.
Boo and I figured out that we played the first music of the weekend on the new site when we provided the music for Stephanie Anderson's Creative Dance program at 1:15 on Thurssday (we were with Stephanie again on Saturday). We were joined later on Saturday by Mike Bub for the Americana Family Jamboree with Diane Stockwell on fiddle. Great crowd who were eager and ready to sing along with classic Americana tunes and made our job very easy. We were asked back for next year, which we're very happy about!

Lots of great jamming, and great music on the main stage including David Grisman's Bluegrass Experience, Del McCoury sounding better than ever and featuring the John Herald song "MoneyLand," Hot Rize who during their set morphed into the honky tonk styled band The Trailblazers, and The Wilders!

After fifteen years of camping onsite we threw in the towel a few years ago and opted for the crisp clean bleach smelling towels of a nearby motel, and this year Boo scored big with the supersweet Catskill Motorcourt where we swam in the pool, took hot showers, used their wireless interent and in other ways acted like rock stars.

I'll be putting up some pictures, but once again I was so busy having fun I didn't take many!
