ok so i dont get to fill everyone in as much as i used to what with all the full time work and stuff... which is rubbish, because i miss it, and i miss being out playing all over the country all the time meeting loads of wicked people,
however, we played a wicked gig in newcastle the other week at the dog and parrot. thanks so much to jack and simon the promoters for having us on, it was a wicked night and a right laugh, thanks also to jess for letting us stay over and showing us a good night out (free entry to a club and then £2 for triples!??!?!?) NEWCASTLE IS A RATHER FUN NIGHT OUT INDEED. oh and thanks to whetherspoons for providing me and ben with a nice pint of coke and a fry up in the morning for so cheap (shames we couldnt get bbq chicken at that time, broke bens heart it did) but yeah it was a wicked night and one thing we dont get to do enough is play live. weve got into a rut of playing a strong 8 song set now over and over, and its got a bit boring.
so we spiced it up abit, on the agenda was a new song called "lover on a loan" which sounded real good, and a cover of "such great heights" by the postal service, however i dont think were good enough to pull it off, not now or ever. hmm...
so yeah, me and ben have been writing and demo'ing new songs
photographs render future obsolete- which i will be using my lovely new boss loopstation for the keyboards, if father christmas delivers of course...
you married a vampire-which is fun as hell to play and sing and has a parody of lyrics about blood at the end, hoohah.
a new one iv written currently under working title "the snake"- chorus goes
"temptation never got the best of you, you never bit the apple, but the snake he runs the rumour mill"
and a beautiful composistion bens written on his guitar, we put some lead guitar to it and it sounds like what a lonely fishermans wife would play when pining for her husband. ben says no more lyrics about the sea and boats, but i say shut up ben. ha.
rather stressed out with everything at the moment, we dont get nearlly enough time with each other now were working full time and i havnt seen joe in a few weeks... but christmas is a good time to get back on track and bring the new year in good and strong!
please buy our e.p? we need to sell atleast a few copies of it, people said they wanted it, so the least you can do is buy it, the label paid alot for it, and we owe it to them. we dont ask for much? do we? mmm....
anyway, artrocker editor got in touch aswell and said he wants to review the e.p for next weeks issue (maybe that will shift a few copies>?)_
meh, hope all is well out there, myspace is dieing... god, im in love.
