Can you believe I'm still in Va? Nope, me niether.
I had made arrangements to stay in the house In LV for the winter back in Sept and figured I'd be there no later than Oct. 1st but others things have arisen from outside the pariphery....
Okay, okay I said, no later than late october and then it became appearant that that wouldn't do so I might as well stay and vote on Nov. 2nd.....and to keep from amusing my non-republican friends I won't dwell on that other than to say "it is an interesting time in history to be an American"......
Then Howard called me up and let me know that since I was still on the east coast Nov 3rd, that I simply had to attend his wedding on the 15th. Now, how could I argue with that? And what a "happy-happy-happy-day that was" :o) Wish I had felt physically better, I would have stayed longer but with my gut flipping I didn't think an oyster feast would stay down. His place was simply oooozing joy!

So, I started to get things around to leave again, made plans to join John Jasper in Pheonix for Thanksgiving...then I got the phone call from my Mom the following day that my Uncle was dead from a hunting accident in Southern Va at his family farm. 10 days of family and funereal ensued. After the service, my Mother came up to me and said "Allen, I do not think that you were to be in Las Vegas today" and I could not agree more.
Vegas? for the winter? I don't know. I'm leaving town "if and when" I get the "cosmic green-light" . I'm thinking I shoulda spent these last 3 months getting more prepared to spend the winter here.......time will tell.
