Lets make this very clear - we now get around 100 requests a month from bands (from all around the country) wanting to play HED nights.
We obviously can't always reply to all these requests but we'll always check the bands music out.
Heres a short guide of what NOT to do...1) Don't send one line sentences saying 'Give us a gig mister'.
2) Don't slag HED off because you can't get a gig easily. We hear about it.
3) Don't sound like a derivative Oasis-wanabee. We hate that.
4) Don't sound like a Metal band. We just don't 'do' metal. Sorry.
5) Don't bull-shit, blag or spam us to death. We aren't
that stupid.
Here is a short guide of what you SHOULD do...1) Send us concise information about the band. Let us 'get to know you'.
2) Indicate what performance fee you require - if any.
3) Suggest other bands you know of, rate highly and thus reccomend.
4) Come along to HED gigs, show support, meet new people and have fun.
5) Accept the fact that we may not like your band. That's life.
Please can all bands be aware that we concentrate on bringing the best out of town acts we possibly can to Preston, so please consider this before requesting a gig. A quick glance at our gig listings will give an idea of the calibre of bands we are after.
