You'll find all the lyrics from the new album, and all our other albums, HERE

"Art of Conflict" is not listed as the lyrics are excerpts from Sun Tzu's "Art of War" which we would prefer to recommend as one of the great many books that you might enjoy reading.

After you're done with that, you might like to check out Haruki Murakami, a modern alternative fiction writer from Japan. Having been a fan for years, I never stop recommending his work.

And you may wonder why this post became the "VNV Nation book of the month club" but I suspect some of you do enjoy reading books so why not, eh? It's that or I just write "ciao, Ronan" and be done with it. This seemed a bit more informative.

ciao,
Ronan

Thank you for making your lyrics available online.  Love the difference between the lyrics in your cd inserts and what is on the disc.  Can almost see how the music matured during the creation process.  Know that was very melodramatic.

Personally I enjoyed the challenge of looking through my copy of the Art of War (I heavily recommend reading it!) to get the lyrics for that song.

I love you Ronan!  Thanks for your performance at Station 4 in St Paul MN on the 8th of July.

By all means, recommend books!  Not only are we a literate bunch (well, at the very least the fans I know personally) but they give us an insight on what makes you so literate, and what inspires you.

It took me a few times of hearing Art of Conflict asking myself "Why does this sound familiar?" before I recognized the Art of War excerpts. Then proceeded to head to the library so I could re-read Sun Tzu. If it took that long to recognize, it was time for a refresher.

I have had a copy of Sun Tzu's "Art of War" for many years. Thank you for letting me know that is where you based the lyrics from. I had no clue.

I don't care for television, so reading is my very favorite past time.

*currently reading Dean Koontz's third Frankenstein installment :P

Indeed I do enjoy books, so I will look into these.

Thanks for the lyrics as well. It's nice to have an easily-discovered source straight from the artist's fingers. :)

While reading the foreward alone... ya know... it kiiiinda reads like a VNV Nation interview, *lol*, I swear.. started hearing it with a Ronan accent at times because it's like I'd heard it before! haha ..loving the read so far.. ;)
