Hey there fam & friends,
I know it's been a minute since my last blog but so many events have transpired that have tested my goals in life and in my sport. Challenges are a good thing even when we can't see the good while we are being challenged. Some days you feel like you're swinging but just not landing any punches.
However, through my challenges I've had several epiphanies that have encouraged me to rearrange my priorities to achieve my immediate and long term goals. I'm planning now to put my business on hold and dedicate the fall of 2007 (beginning August) and all of 2008 to training and making the olympic team in the heptathlon. I have a great new Olympic coach & sports nutritionist on my team to help me reach my performance & fitness goals. All I can say is those who quit on me today will regret it tomorrow. You know who you are. T. Mills always bounce back from adversity. I quit on my own terms.
Training is progressing nicely for a change and so far I've seen steady improvements in my 100 hurdle times. I believe I'll be able to run mid-13s or faster in the hurdles and 23 seconds in the 200 by the time I compete in my next hep on June 10th.
Thanks to all who've hung in there with me with your support and encouraging words. There's going to be a big "thank you" party in the end for you. You know who you are.
I got rid of the bug-a-boos and I am officially back in effect.
Lata!
