This is an update from Bel Canto's helping hand on MySpace:

Bel Canto want to wish you a happy new year in 2009!

For the first time in years both Anneli and Nils are living in the same city. We will not start any new rumours here, but DO NOT rule out possible new collaborations between the two. They're still good friends, you know?

No, they never said that they'd quit as Bel Canto, but it was necessary to do other things through the years. After all, Bel Canto was formed many many years ago...

Come back to MySpace and Bel Canto's home page later in 2009. And if you're new to Bel Canto, you should know that the music is both timeless and constantly available on CD's and in other digital formats.

Before you leave, take a look at some YouTube video history too. In the eighties, Geir Jenssen and Anneli and Nils pretty much created their own ideas for the music videos. Watch "Birds of Passage" from the beautiful fjord of "Ersfjorden", outside of Tromsoe. It's VERY Geir and Anneli and Nils :-)

When some of the stash guys wanted to direct videos in the nineties, Anneli and Nils went with the flow, because they're really cool people who will give other creative souls a chance. And those videos are period pieces too..

But "Birds of Passage" is what Bel Canto was about in the old days. Enjoy :-)
