Category: Travel and Places

Well for the three people who read my blog...sorry it fell apart...I got to freak'n busy and so freak'n sick in China I never got to record my mundane daily musings for your reading pleasure.

I am home.  I am back to 70% on the health-o-meter.  I am convinced that whatever freaky chemical imbalance I have is exacerbated by travel.

I accomplished all I set out to do while there.

Got to LA and got to DJ's one of my best friends in the world sisters wedding.  I had a wonderful time. They made me feel just like family.  I spent most of the wedding night "spinning" but as things wound down, I had a chance to take the hand of one of the brother's wives and teach her to dance. I had the most amazing time just chit chatting and running through basic dance steps with her.  Now I am no great dancer, I barely get out on the dance floor unless I am "working" but…it was like looking in a mirror…she was just sitting there watching her fun and flamboyant husband dance away with his family and friends…and I could see it in her eyes that she so desperately wanted to be out there!  I have always been that guy sitting there wishing someone would "force" me to go out there and have fun.  I told her all the things I wish some one would have told me 20 years ago:   You are not putting on a show, no one is watching you, dance is communication and fun…enjoy yourself!

The Husband came over to me and said, thanks….I said for what?  He said, I was jealous…I needed that reminder….I said…go dance with your wife….He did…I hope he told her he was jealous and that he wants to be the one dancing with her next time.

The party was over by 10:30pm…and we all helped clean up …
