As you may know I gave in and joined Facebook last month. They're finally allowing vanity URLs, so instead of facebook.com/pages/&^&@##@&!!zomg!!, we can actually have facebook.com/androidlust. What a concept!

Anyhow, in order for this to happen, Facebook requires us to have 1000 fans, and this is where you can help.
If you have a facebook account, please become a fan here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Android-Lust/74303898271

And then hopefully none of us will have to type that godawful URL if we happen delete our bookmarks.

I believe that today at 11:01 pm the number of fans won't matter. Everyone will be allowed to get their own url. Check the top of your facebook.

OK... looks like the number doesn't matter now. We needed to have 1000 fans by May 31st... according to what I am reading...

Thanks for everyone who joined. And specially for the people who signed up to facebook to become a fan! Thank you so much!!

So hopefully at some point we'll get to have real URL there. In the meantime... it remains as it is.

Love your music, I went right over and became a fan (even though technically I've been a fan for a few years.... Also I looked it up on facebook and here's the deal with it-

" I tried to secure a name for my Page but Facebook said the Page was not eligible. What are the requirements?
Your Facebook Page must meet two requirements: it must have been live on Facebook prior to the May 31, 2009 cut-off date and have had a minimum 1,000 fans at that time.

This limitation is temporary. All Pages created after May 31, 2009 or that had less than 1,000 fans on that day will be eligible to claim usernames on Sunday, June 28, 2009."
