Currently showing at Galway City Museum is an exhibition of memorabilia to commemorate John F. Kennedy's visit to Galway City in 1963. Among the highlights on display is a bronze bust of JFK that was sculpted by James Power (son of Albert Power who sculpted Pádraig ó Conaire's statue). This sculpture, which was made in the year of the President's visit, has never been on display in bronze form.
