Newly released investigation footage (WARNING: this video is graphic) shows a USDA inspector apparently failing to enforce federal humane treatment laws at a Vermont slaughter plant while the plant co-owner and others viciously abused days-old veal calves. The plant has since been shut down.  For more details on this investigation, please visit our website.

TAKE ACTION: Click the red button on the video to ask the U.S. Department of Agriculture to take prompt action to prevent this kind of abuse from ever happening again.

Life should not be treated this way. Society should find better ways to treat these animals and we have to stop looking the other way. Do yourself a favor and don't eat veal, I don't care if it's the best thing you have ever tasted. Look how they treat these animals. I'm never touching veal or beef again.

Dear God, don't these poor little creatures have to put up with enough as it is? I have NEVER eaten veal, (I don't eat meat anyway) and hope that if the veal eaters out there see what really goes on, perhaps they'd think twice before they tuck into any more. I'm so sorry, but I couldn't watch this, it's just too heartbreaking. They're only babies, for Christ's sake, what lousy excuse for a human being could abuse a little creature and feel absolutely nothing?

Those poor babies!Is it not bad enough that they are taken from their mothers  and only have a few days of life.They should be treated with some compassion in their short life. I have never eaten veal for this specific reason I eat fish and chicken only--
