I'm really getting into this more than I thought I would. Normally I just pass things like this up--whatever, right, it doesn't concern me, and there's nothing I can do about it anyway.
But this...this is making me mad. These kids in Africa...it's not fair, the lives they're living. And for once, there IS something we can do about it, there REALLY is. This is within our reach, guys. I really believe it is.
What you can start off doing is going to Displace Me. It's a 24-hour event happening April 28th in 15 different cities. What we'll do there is give up our lives for 24 hours and see through the eyes of the Uganda children; we'll sleep in cardboard boxes, eat only crackers, and watch videos of the war raging in Africa. We'll hear testimonies of those who've seen first-hand what's going on, and we'll also write letters to our senators. WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
And I don't know about you guys, but 20 years from now, I want to look back and say, "yeah, I did something" when my kids ask me about it. "What did you do?"
It would suck to answer "nothing", huh?
The smallest thing helps, guys. If nothing else, just look at the website and at least know what's going on.

Please, guys, support this. Even if you can't go to Displace Me [although, if you live within a 5000 mile radius of me, watch out cos you're GOING], at least educate yourself on this. At least know what's going on.
