Current mood:  focused
Hello, friends!

Summer is ON! I watched the 4th fireworks from high up on a hill above Los Angeles and saw about 20 different displays happening all at once. It was so exciting! And I am SO excited that July is here. It is time to rock and roll, boys and girls! In this newsletter, I've got some really fun news to report and a couple opportunities for you to get involved. Ready? Set? Let's go!

Official Why Don't You Stay Digital Release July 14
Starting Tuesday, July 14th, you'll be able to download Why Don't You Stay? from AmieStreet.com. The first people to download the album will actually get it for free! That's how AmieStreet works -- the more popular a song becomes, the more it costs, up to $.99. Bargain hunters get up early! Like day after Thanksgiving shopping. ;) iTunes downloads will follow shortly after.

Los Angeles, Come Get Your FREE CD Friday, July 10!
We're havin' a party and I'm bringing the gifts! The CD release party is Friday, July 10, 8pm, at Molly Malone's on 6th and Fairfax in Los Angeles. With your $8 admission, you'll get yours truly live on the piano, a copy of the new EP, and a great time! Bring friends! See you there!

Me + A Video Camera = My New Vlog
Heck, yeah! I've started a video blog especially for the summer tour! The first episode was posted last night -- in it, I get the itch to show off a sneak peek of the new EP that was delivered yesterday, and while I'm at it I give a tour of the music room in my house. Watch it on The Shannon Curtis Channel or at shannoncurtis.net! I'll be posting from my Jetta on the road, so if you want to get up-to-the-minute updates on new Vlog posts, start following me on Twitter! Stay tuned to the Vlog throughout the tour for special Vlog-only contests and interactive opportunities. Heehee! Fun!

New Tour Dates Posted, Including THE HOTEL CAFE!!!
Since I last wrote, I've added shows in Denton TX, Tucson AZ, San Diego CA, and ....... drum roll please ..... my debut show at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles!! The Hotel Cafe is the most famous singer/songwriter venue in LA and I'll be sharing the stage on Saturday, August 22nd with Tony Lucca, Jay Nash, and Terra Naomi. Mark your calendars, kids! Detailed info is on my MySpace calendar and always updated at shannoncurtis.net/tour.

Looking For More Bloggers
Are you a blogger? If so, wanna blog about my new CD and summer tour? Email me and I'll get you all the info you'll need. Tell me when your blog has been published, and I'll link to it from my website and my newsletter. Thank you so much to those of you who have already expressed interest in helping get the word out this way. I apprecaite you!!

Will You Help Me Promote The Summer Tour?
You won't have to get dirty. No knocking door-to-door (well, unless you're EXTRA motivated, a little nuts, or nostalgic for your Boy/Girl Scout days). This is what I ask of you: will you email, send Facebook invitations to, call/text/messenger-pigeon your friends, family, co-workers about the show I'm doing in your city? That's all! And if you want to go the extra mile, check out the schedule and see if there are other cities I'm going where you know folks and let them know about the show there. I can't do this without you -- I REALLY need your help spreading the love. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

New Lyrics Page and Farewell For Now
Lastly, some of you have asked from time to time about where you can get Shannon Curtis lyrics. Well, now it's as easy as apple pie: shannoncurtis.net/lyrics.
Guys and gals -- thank you so much for your endless support and encouragement of the music I make. I am blessed to have you in my life and to be invited into your world to share music with you. I can't wait to see you and play for you this summer! Here are the places on the internets you will find me, even when I'm on the road:

See you soon!
