This video is a small but stimulating introduction to
a great mind:

Marshall Mcluhan was a brilliant scholar, professor
and philosopher who was mostly known for his work in
Media Studies.  The time period that he was actively
studying and ultimately living in was a very
interesting one because it saw the birth of the
television and its effects on society.  He did a lot
of amazing work by studying past forms of mass media
such as the printing press, and comparing it's effects
to those of the newer and more daunting forms like
television, and ultimately to the future of
computers... It is very unfortunate that he died in
1980, just missing the enormous effect of the
Internet.  I would have loved to hear his opinions on
'blogs' and interactive 'forums' and the undeniable
destruction of the English language (OMG), and  what
this so called convenience has inconvenienced... And
of course the fact that we can so easily spread HIS
'message' through this 'medium'.

That is true at my new job I see the patterns and I don’t want to settle for it that’s weird because I’ve always thought of myself a “DYNAMIC PERSON” and another thing that’s been affecting me is I don’t want to be just a consumer I want a bigger role in life helping people on a massive level. I don’t want to be and unheard nothing that lives to get the needs and die like an animal. Here’s my little rant that might not have nothing to do with this “animals make choices because they don’t know better but we as humans are conscious of the problems yet we still do the wrong thing and we do know better”

I think he would have said that the internet/blogs is not only another way for the general public to control marketing and consumption, but an effort to control information, social norms, government ect. Basically i think he would have thought internet was more than humans controlling how a football game is delivered, but how information in general is delivered. between you-tube and wikipedia the internet is where almost everyone can access and obtain almost anything.

I can only hope that others who view "feed your head" join in on the discussion
