Sigh... I knew I had a lot of stuff, but.... WOW!!!  Once I get it set up in here, it should look pretty sweet.

Haven't seen much more of Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg (PA) since I got here than I had visiting before. Been WAY too busy just trying to get the apartment squared away. Because I'd had a lot of things stowed in the basement in my old place, I'd kind of forgotten how much I really have.

I already miss my washer and dryer- there are no hook-ups in this apartment, so they have been left behind.... And this place is much harder to get heated properly, so I've been a bit chilly during my few moments of rest.

I miss my friends. I miss my family. I miss my "nest" and routine. But I hated being apart from Jason so much, it really got intolerable, so here goes....

Moved to PA, eh? So what's the story? I don't remember where you lived before, for sure... Anyway, good luck. It's a good time to buy a house instead of renting, though.

Simple story, really. Jason and I were good friends in law school, and stayed in contact through the years. After graduation, he was in PA, I was in Kzoo. When he finally took steps to shed himself of the anchor around his neck (ex-wife who I have nothing nice to say about, so I won't say much about her for the time being), we decided to try the switch from "just friends" to "lots more than...".

So we did the long-distance thing for months, but it just sucked being so far apart-- we were just both too miserable without each other. I'm not really the "mushy" type, but yes, we're ridiculously in love. He has a young son, so I figured it would be best if I were the one to move. So here I am.

Wish we could buy a house, but the anchor destroyed Jason's credit. Besides, I don't know this area well enough yet to commit to it-- I guess I have to start dating the town ;) Its definitely smaller and doesn't seem nearly as cool as Kzoo, but I'm hoping to be proven wrong.

I've heard there may be some good kayaking water around here, so that's encouraging, at least....
