Here is the script to the Commentary I did on Channel 3 on Baby Boommers.  The video is on Channel 3000 dot com.

Ahh the Baby Boomers.   With a loud and unified decree you shouted out your lack of trust of anyone over 30, deemed the generation prior incompetent, evoked the power of attorney on mommy and daddy, and took control.  Make love not war you declared and stormed with great vigor into the bright new future.

As the 60's faded though, the true boomer arrived.  Self indulgent, excessive and greedy.  You tore through the seventies and 80's with reckless abandon.  Replacing peace, love and equality with debt, divorce and worst of all disco.  Self-centered, self-indulgent and self absorbed your gang mentality has dominated the last three and a half decades.  You are Large and in change.

Defining the next generation as slackers may have been you at your most self aggrandizing.  Creating the illusion that you must retain control because those after you are just to lazy to do it.  There in feeding your endless thirst for power in the name of charity.  Never mind that you raised them in one of the most blatantly anti child phases in history.  Latch key kids you called us.  It is a fact that us "slackers" were the most unsupervised generation ever.  Lazy?  Or maybe just worn out from raising ourselves!

Now you are selling us on the fact that 65 is the new 45.  Your hair plugs and botox keep you looking young and your little blue pill helps you to believe that, at least for the next 36 hours, wife number 3 is not just around for the money.

One of your own Don Henley summed up your generations hypocrisy best when he wrote:  Yesterday I saw a deadhead sticker on a Cadillac. He went on to say "Don't look back you can never look back."  But I say look back.  Look back in anger and realize you could have done more.

Look around and realize the most crowing achievement of your generation may be those children you ignored.  Statistics show they are actually accountable for over 70 percent of the start up companies created in the 90's and at the same time spending nearly double the time you did with their families.

Also look ahead, like some of your peers such as Bill Gates with his foundation already have, and realize it is never to late to re-embrace the beliefs that started the Boomer generation and make sure they are the ideals that when all is said and done define it.

LOGAN

I swear I looked at this yesterday, and noticed all sorts of punctuation, and grammatical errors. I tried to shrug it off as, "well, it's just the script"(rough draft?)

After another look-see, things don't look so bad. Nor would it really matter. If it was a "rough draft".

Would it kill ya to insert a link to the video, on Channel3000com? Or possibly re-post the damn thing?

Actually, your mantra resembles similar sentiment to things I very well may have said, and/or wrote about.

*squeaky old man voice*

Back when I was a, "Solid Rocker", it was like a political movement against the tide! I wrote endless angry banter, "against the machine", and, "the boomers." Shit! I threw a screwdriver(or two)into the well greased cogs.

Uh, okay..... There had to be some faux irony in my intention to assume an, "old man voice", for such rhetoric.

My point was supposed to be something like: I hear ya bro. From way back. Like we're the same age and all. So, I feel ya.

But, where are we now?

Kudos for voicing a valid opinion in an otherwise mundane world, and during such troubled times. Although, I realize this blog is a year(and two-months)old.

rawk!
