Current mood:  high
Hello, All,

It's been so crazy busy!!! I am finally back in school after a long break of sorts, and I forgot how much I enjoy it (yup, I'm a big nerd ). I can't remember if I already posted about this and I'm not going to go check, but I switched my major from graphic design to theater. I love performing and will ALWAYS do so, but in the meanwhile, making and designing costumes is a blast too, so that is what I am going to be studying and doing. I got some solid practice this Halloween - I hand-stitched and created a pretty awesome mermaid costume. I will post photo evidence soon. Point being, it's a passion, and what I want to be doing rather than what I think I should be doing. This semester is already almost up and I am looking forward to more.

I signed up for a ballroom dance class because I was terrified to do it. I am an athlete, but have lacked any grace whatsoever when it comes to dance and basically anything graceful. I was nervous to the point of wanting to vomit the first day, and now I am HOOKED. I have a 100% in the class at the moment (knock on wood that it stays that way) and just love it. I'm glad I took the risk and did something outside of my comfort zone. Lesson learned!

I still work full time and it's getting crazy with Christmas around the corner. Time is flying! Somehow with school and work I have been fortunate enough to have film production companies work with me and my schedule and I have been involved with some exciting projects. I am still part of the feature film "The Dream of Diego Marquez" which is drawing to its end...it's been an adventure. I am anxious to see the final product; I worked with my best friend, Jenn Ortega, in all of my scenes and it rocks to have trust with your scene partner and the freedom given to you by your director to take a character, to take a scene, and run with it an really make it work. It's a talented cast and crew and I think it's going to be awesome.

Speaking of freedom to run all over the place...this past weekend I wrapped episode one of a new project called "Smoke and Love", and to sum it up, it's a comedy about stoners and the ridiculous things stoners do. It's a bit of a departure from the typical project I participate in, and my character is so far gone from anything I've ever done - and I FLIPPIN LOVE IT!!!! It's one of the most fun sets to be on EVER, and we have improvisational liberty, we can bring little quirks and nuances and hilarity to it, we all get along, and we are all there just because we love doing it and we love making the magic happen, albeit some slightly crude magic at times, lol. There is always lots of laughter and shenanigans on set. It has some potential behind it and I'm thrilled to see where it goes. I will definately be keeping updates going on when screenings are, etc.

13Echo Films is behing "The Dream of Diego Marquez", and Broken Camera productions is the guilty party behind "Smoke and Love". You can add both production companies and the "Smoke and Love" pages to your friends list by adding them from my top friends.

Keeping this short and sweet, I'm going to Cali next month for a few days :) :) :)

I should probably go back and spellcheck and edit this baby, but there is no time. I have to get back to a research paper about the bubonic plague. Exciting.

Take care and see you around!!!
