In response to some feedback from my set at this party I wanted to explain exactly what happened.

What went wrong.....

Firstly I appreciate being given the chance to play at Pawn shop that day, Made events were great and professional, and anything I say that follows, I totally understand were unavoidable problems...

Pawn Shop on Sunday was a great party, but for me personally as a DJ, very very disappointing. Despite some comments afterwards by people, I had actually been to bed and was fresh and ready to play. I arrived on stage to be warned that "One deck was a little off" Hmmm understatement or what!!! Firstly they turned me right down as soon as I started as they were supposed to be moving inside because of sound, but instead they decided to keep the party outside and turn the volume down. The dodgy deck was a joke, If I had the monitor on at all it would skip the needle. So I basically had to mix with no monitors. A few gushes of wind also completely threw the needle off the deck. I never make excuses for bad performances, I’m always very critical of myself, but with my hand on my heart, this was not my fault. The final let down was they told me we would be going on till 00.20, and at 23.30 said right we have to finish right now as the police are outside. So no last song, just a pretty rubbish volume fade..

So Im sorry for anyone who was let down by my set, but anyone who came and saw any of my other 6 DJ performances on my tour the last few weeks will know that I gave it my all every time.

In reflection maybe I should have saw that there was problem using the technics, as Matthew Dear and Steve bug had been having trouble too. But, I could not immediately see any CDjs to swap over with and to be honest I really didnt think that there could be that much of a problem.. but there was..

Any comments on this, are more than welcome,

All the best, and for anyone who was catching me for the first time, please take the time and come again, Infact if im in your city send me a myspace and I will make sure you get in for free to check me out as some kind of compensation....

All the best

Jamie Jones.

its any DJs nightmare...i wasnt there to watch and hear you play but judging by your text..you just handled professionnally by just keeping on playing, doing your thing and just trying to keep the show going on..
i can imagine a few DJs just leaving the deck and going home in the middle of their set...
big up and compassion for that bad experience...

I saw you at Cross Town & I saw you at Sunday School. Both were jamming music. I was watching when 2 of the incidences happened and could see they were not your fault. Matthew Dear had a similar occurrence.

Sunday School was a great party as it always is! Looking forward to wmc09!
