My thanks to Jeri Sobanski for inviting me and Kris McLonis to perform at the Carry Nation Festival on September 7 in Holly MI! We're looking forward to a repeat performance at next year's festival (always takes place the weekend after Labor Day) The Womyn's Komedy Netwerk performed at the Planet Ant Theatre (2357 Caniff Ave. in Hamtramck MI) on September 29 as a guest team opening for the Improv Colony. Admission was $5.00; the fun starts every Monday nite with different guest teams at 8:00 PM. (For more information, check out www.planetant.com ) On November 13th we performied at Grounds Coffeehouse at the University of Detroit Mercy McNichols Campus . Its sponsored by the Gender Studies program. . Erica Lynn, Kris McLonis, Kathie Dice, Julie Lyons and Toni Imhoff were the performers.. On Nov 15th I was the guest MC at AJs Cafe in Ferndale for the FernCare benefit, a free clinic.. 7 pm to Midnight. We raised over $3500. I was a blonde nurse with a giant hypo needle Also on February 8. 2009 a Sunday after the Super Bowl comedy event. A free will donation show for Ferncare. This will be a show you don t want to mis.. More later on this too..... In May we re starting our Ferndale Womens Football League (FWFL) Details being worked out along with our HALFBALL League. Got idea from Philly. Its real big there.
