Current mood:  restless
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

I do find my life to be quite sad at the moment.  I go from one little internet crush to another and have to post it here.

This week, dear friends, I am going to tell you about television.

In July 2004, just after I graduated from uni I threw out my TV set.  (Actually that is a lie, I stuffed it in the cupboard behind my sleeping bag and clothes destined for the charity shop.)

So for pretty  much for two and a half years* I have lived in a blissful state of ignorance about Lost and celebrities and that, feeling a little sad that sometimes I couldn't join in on conversations about Neighbours and Celebrity Fit Club.

But now, oh dear, I discovered that I can watch all my favorite tv shows and movies at a click of a mouse button on demand, whenever I like, with the only slight inconvience that the resolution may not be big enough or that the speech isn't following the actors mouths or that one show is divided into five little chunks.

Thus far I have watched the entire Young Americans season 1, lots of Sex and the City, L word (season 4, nonetheless), Red Dwarf, Sliders, and a not insignificant amount of Star Trek.  Yes I am a sci-fi geek.  And proud.

So thanks Lou, its all your fault!

*The tv did emerge for about 3 weeks in the summer.  Like smoking after having quit, it was powerful and alluring, but I felt my soul slowly seep out of me and my mind become numb, and God, I got so irrated by little things; like having to change channels manually when I lost the remote.  Nuff said.
