STELLUNGNAHME GERMAN HORROR MAGAZIN/VON THRONSTAHL....

Mit großem Entsetzen haben wir in der aktuellen Ausgabe des „German Horror Magazins“, in dem sich ein Bericht über unsere Band befindet, auch ein Interview mit J. Klumb, Frontmann der Band VON THRONSTAHL, gefunden.....

Unter der fadenscheinigen Überschrift „Politik-Special“ wird Klumb, der sich selbst als „Individualfaschist“ bezeichnet und der bekanntermaßen dem ultrarechten Dark-Wave-Spektrum zuzurechnen ist, ein Forum gegeben, um sich und sein Schaffen ungehindert in Szene zu setzen. ....

VON THRONSTAHL überhaupt ein Forum zu geben und diese neben anderen Bands und Künstlern aus dem Wave-, Punk- und Gothic-Bereich zu präsentieren, zeugt von totaler Ignoranz. Der Chefredakteur, der offenbar ein großer Verehrer Klumbs ist, lässt diesen sogar frei von jeglicher Kritik und ohne Hinterfragung über sein Weltbild referieren, welches hinlänglich bekannt ist.....

Für uns ist die Sache klar: Wer solchen Personen ein Forum bietet, trägt seine politische Gesinnung deutlich zur Schau. Wir sehen darin eine gefährliche Mischung aus politischer Naivität und latent faschistischem Gedankengut.....

Im Vorfeld war uns das „German Horror Magazin“ leider nicht weiter bekannt. Wir hatten es im Umfeld der Band UNTOTEN verortet, die ursprünglich aus der Grindcore-Szene kamen. Aus diesem Grund hatten wir einen gewissen politischen Grundkonsens vorausgesetzt. Dies hat sich als Irrtum herausgestellt. Die für das Interview zuständige Redakteurin wird von Teilen unserer Band seit mehr als zehn Jahren für ihre journalistische Tätigkeit geschätzt und es bestanden über die Jahre zahlreiche Brief/E-Mail-Kontakte. Nach eigener Aussage wusste sie nichts von dem geplanten Interview mit VON THRONSTAHL.

Von anderen Magazinen der Gothic-Szene wird Klumb seit Jahren völlig zu Recht boykottiert. Nicht so vom „German Horror Magazin“. ....

Aus diesem Grund distanzieren wir uns ausdrücklich von der Redaktion und dem Inhalt des „German Horror Magazins“! Es wird für uns keine Zusammenarbeit mehr mit diesem Heft geben. Weiterhin rufen wir dazu auf, Personen wie Klumb nicht durch den Kauf dieses Magazins zu unterstützen!....

STATEMENT GERMAN HORROR MAGAZIN/VON THRONSTAHL

We were really shocked when we found in the new issue of "German Horror Magazin“ (where there is an article on our band) an interview with J. Klumb, leading figure in the band VON THRONSTAHL.....

.. ..

The interview, headlined with "feature on politics“, gives Klumb the opportunity to talk freely about his points of view. Klumb, who calls himself an “Individualfaschist” (German), is seen by institutions of the German government as a leading figure of ultra-right-winged Dark-Wave-scene in ....Germany..... So there is no doubt about him as a person.....

The fact that they gave Klumb 3 pages in the magazine next to other bands of the Wave-, Punk- or Gothic-Scene is already too much!!! But the editor-in-chief who was doing the interview (and obviously a big fan of Klumb) doesn't even show any hint of criticism in his questions!....

So for us things are obvious: If people/editors give a band like VON THRONSTAHL the space to spread their political ideas, then there is no doubt about the political point of view of the journalist/magazine!!!....

Unfortunately we hadn´t seen a copy of “German Horror Magazin” before. We thought that it is released by people who are connected to the band UNTOTEN who started as a grindcore-band. So we thought that there would be at least a minimal consensus on political topics. This was a mistake!....

The journalist, who made the interview with us, is well-known to some of our band through her more-than-10-year journalistic work. As she told us, she didn´t know about the planned interview before.....

There is a boycott from all German goth-magazines against VON THRONSTAHL. We agree on that. Not so with “German Horror Magazin”.....

Because of these reasons we want to say that we totally disagree with the editors and the content of "German Horror Magazin“!!! We will not work with this magazine again! Besides that, we call out to everybody not to support people like Klumb by buying this magazine!....
