So I left you guys in Prince George. We woke up, got our photos taken with good old PG Man, and then headed on down the road to drive back the 8 hours we had driven the day before. After some in van debate we decided to head for Golden to the Rockwater. as they said we could grab our hotel rooms a day early. Turns out the Rockwtaer is the old Packers Pub and they gave us super deluxe accoms the night before, so after a thanksgiving dinner at 7-11 ( i ate a jumbo big bite ) we watched bruce campbell in alien apocolypse and drank dude beers until....
Golden Rockwater (Day 2)-- Well we spent most of the day being lazy. I did visit with high school chum Brodie, now a respected man about town. Hard to believe a guy nicknamed Monkey could turn it around so well. the show was pretty fun, not to busy but people seemed into it, the bar itself was awesome. and the staff ruled. after the show we went over to another bar and drank too much. i remember a shot called the shaft that had coffee, and lots of booze in it. i dunno the night has some holes in it. Thanks a bunch Gonzo and Monkey for the good times.
Kelowna Lake City Bowl -- Ever played in a bowling alley? well i have, show was in a bowling alley that had the most expensive drink sever, like 6 dollar beers. so most people drank outside in the parking lot, dude beers again. show was nanners, got to play with hippiecritz who i have wanted to see for a while. it was also big lebowski fest so most where dressed up like characters from the film. kudos to mr. awesome for best costume ever. during my encore the bar shut off the power, as i guess our shenagans had grown tiresome.
Victoria Logans. God dam. i love you Victoria. show was packed. it ruled. i learned that i cant drink whiskey and had to much fun. the night ended with me trying to play golden eye, failing and then waking up on a couch. thanks mt royal for putting us up. and breakfast at ducth bakery. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Nanaimo. Cambie. Strange. people were really fucked up at this one, not like haha im loaded, but like collapsing into the fetal position mid sentence wasted. not many people there, but my bar tab was only 5 bucks and i got to watch an old man park his scooter in front fo the stage and try and plug it into my powerbar mid set, dont see that everyday.
Vancouver. Pats Pub. So fun. So busy!! thank you vancouver. Mr. Plow played the hits, Joel Tong gave 110%, jimmie played with a drummer, again too much fun, especially as we had to get up the next day super early, anyway i want to marry pats pub.
Ymir. Old Schoolhouse. Get Up super early. listen to the ticats lose on the radio. drive to ymir which is a super small town near nelson. there is a firepit going outside the venue which is filled with old friends. hello wayne, shelley, cliff, taberfucks, black dog booker dude and many more. show is fun but ends when a crazed nut bites me in the leg during geezer pleazer. i guess you cant please everyone. oh well. stay at shelley and cliffs cool house.
