1. TODAY! BenFlowz Songs Featured in KQED Segment on Music for Kids.

Today, Tuesday September 26th... BenFlowz will be making an unexpected appearance in the KQED studios as his music is used in interim periods during a discussion on recent shifts in the way music is targeted towards young audiences. The program, FORUM hosted by Michael Krasny will be airing at 10am and will be available for podcast on the KQED website following the session.

KQED Public Radio's main coverage areas are the San Francisco Bay Area, where you can tune in to KQED at 88.5FM, and the Sacramento area, where you can tune in to KQEI at 89.3FM.. KQED has two translators: 88.3FM in Santa Rosa and 88.1FM in Martinez.

2. South Bay Hip-Hop on Sept. 29th

Friday, September 29th . The Bay Area's finest hip-hop artists come together monthly to rock Johnny V's in downtown San Jose. This month features artists BenFlowz, Dan-D, Megabusive,Boogieman, Midi Mid, D - Low -G, Corey the Kid, and K.O.P. The event is now presented by the Kung Fu Vampire, who is proud to be pressing on strong.

Johnny Vs bar is located at 31 E. Santa Clara in downtown SJ. Come on out for a good time with the Hip-Hop Congress fam, tha Kung-Fu Vamp himself, and of course ya boy BenFlowz.

3. A Delicate Structure on Display

Societal tension are exposed at this opening reception on Tuesday, October 10th from 5 to 7pm. Artists Daniel Blomquist, Benjamin Miller-Rios (BenFlowz), and Laura Swanson present A Delicate Structure, an exhibit at the Diego Rivera Gallery from October 9th through the 14th, 2006.

A site specific installation of a monumental Plexiglas platform and agaunt wood frame house suspended over 2160 eggs is an exposition of the delicate structures that simultaneously maintain and jeopardizeprivileged lifestyles. But what happens when the structure finallyruptures? Find out on Friday October 13th for our exclusive Smashing Soiree with music by BenFlowz.

The Diego Rivera Gallery is located at the San Francisco Art Institute at 800 Chestnut Street between Leavenworth and Jones in San Francisco.

4. SFCAC Holds Annual Auction at 111 Minna

On October 12th (Thursday) the San Francisco Childrens Art Center will be holding its annual art auction at 111 Minna St. The auction will be selling local professional work which will benefit both the artists and the center. Kija Lucas, Shelly Arrieta, Dustin Rankin, and Nili Yosha (members of the art collective Stump Pigeons) will be present. BenFlowz will take on a DJ gig for the kids as well as presenting photography.

Swing in for a great deal and you know Ill hold it down with the music.
