Well, I thought the rest of my break warranted another blog, so here it goes.
Late tuesday night, I got an IM from Becca saying that her dad had gotten tickets to the Canucks versus Predators game and invited me to go with her. I, of course, obliged her request and we planned for the next day. While going through these plans I remembered that Wednesday was the day I was supposed to have Amber and Mary over. Luckily, this all worked out because Shaelyn needed extras for her film that was shooting at Heritage Villiage, which is accross the street from Ambers house. The new plan was for me to go to the game with Becca, then have Shaelyn meet me at Stadium after the game and Skytrain/Bus our way to Ambers house, where we would stay the night.
On Wednesday, my mom and I went to Metrotown to buy me some much needed jeans. Since one of my pairs is in a state of disrepair, my pants rotation was thrown off. To my displeasure, I was only able to find one pair of jeans that fit me (all the sizes were huge for some reason) and I left a little frustrated at my height. Then almost immediately after I got home I had to board the bus to get to the game. The ride was fairly uneventful, but the game itself was a completely different story.
When we got to the Garage we found out that we were sitting in the Siemens Club section. We were so estatic to be finally entering the ever elusive club seats. The fact that it was blocked off from the rest of GM made it so intriguing and mysterious. Our seats were fantastic, we were 23 rows away from the magnificent Lui and across the ice from the benches. This is what I imagine heaven to be like. The Jumbotron, so gorgeous; the power ring, utterly breathtaking; beating the best team in the league 2-0, priceless. So, as you can imagine, we had an awesome time and took tons of pictures (check out my pics page). Then after the game I met Shaelyn at the skytrain, and I only had to wait 20 minutes for her! Then we went out for dinner and eventually got to Amber's house.
The next day Amber, Mary and I were extra's in the movie Shaelyn is doing for her film program. We had to dress up in these clothes that made us look like the cast of Little House on the Praire because this was supposed to be taking place in a strictly religious town. Then to top it all off, I was chosen to carry this plate full of fruit and an umbrella, making me a part of the first scene. I was cold and wet, so it wasn't really a good time.
Tonight I'm going to see Reign Over Me with Claudia, Becca and possibly others as well. I'm hoping it'll be good, especially with that cast. Adam Sandler, Liv Tyler and Don Cheadle; I'm optimistic.
And just as a sidenote, feel free to leave a comment. I see that almost 100 people have viewed my blog this week, yet only one comment. Come on people, give me some feedback.
