Daft Punk, Cut Copy, The Presets

So I went to Melbourne along with a large portion of adelaide to see daft punk. Suffice to say it was probably the best concert i have ever been to, but more on that later.

I was worried about my camera being confiscate due to its size, however security seemed to be more concerned with various members of the audience passing out from the heat.

first up was muscles. I didnt take picture of him for 2 reasons:

1 I detest him

2 I was worried they might confiscate my camera.

some of his music was a little fun, but in general i really do not think he deserves all the hype. that song where he goes awoo in the begining made me want to destroy ears so that i would never have to endure that sort of agony again. the only thing that kept me going through out his 45 minute set was the hope of hearing my other favourite bands aswell as daft punk

Cut Copy played a really tight set. I love the sound of their new work. I eagerly await the next time they tour in support of their upcoming album. Unfortunately, it was a bit lackluster because of the distance i was away from the stage.

Presets were up next. Similarly they played a competent set, but it had a similar detached feel. They sort of had a "nite version" thing going with their some of their songs sounding slightly different than i remember from BDO last year. Their new stuff sounds cool aswell.

Daft Punk. Words really can't convey how superb it was. The visuals were breath taking aswell as the music.

I ended up going to an after party at Q bar. It felt like a mixture of rocket bar and supermild but without the avant-garde indie rock or the soul jazz/funk nights.

Hey! I went on the 13th, it was great. I have to disagree with you about Muscles, I love him! Although he wasn't suited to the venue. But yeah CutCopy were awesome I really think their new album will be brilliant.
Daft Punk were Daft Punk. They were the best. The encore was the best thing I've ever experienced (haha I rant about them on my blog as well). I find it difficult to put into words as well. But yes totally worth all the money.
I ended up at the Prince of Wales afterwards because I was on too much of a high. It was ok, nothing compared to the actual gig of course though haha.

Woah look at that crowd!

Yeah I would of had that detached sort of feeling with the bands playing so far away!

I like the cut copy photos a lot though!

Looks like a bunch of fun ;)
