What a way to kick off december going to see Dragonforce Live, I watch Dragonforce at Download 2006 at Donnington. I was anticipating them and they performed brilliantly, I am happy to say that at the Leeds Gig they performed even better.
It was a quick trip over to leeds on a train and finding the venue took a little time but the map I had helped alot. The gig itself was good with Greece's Firewind kicking off the support acts, they were awesome. The second support act were All That Remains who I was a bit suprised to see as a support act for DF. They were far more heavier and they performed fairly well, but the best was still to come.
Dragonforce blew the audience away plain and simple, they were at their lighting fast best. Between a number of songs Vadim played some awesome original music ont he keyboard with Bassist Fredericq showing his talents on lead guitar. All the best songs were played "Through The Fire and Flames", "Operation Ground and Pound", "Soldiers of the Wasteland" and many more finishing with my personal favourite "Valley of the Damned". For every song the fans were jumping and singing at the top of their voices. Dragonforce has such an immense stage presence and their interaction with the crowd is near to the best I have ever seen.
There was an issue with sound early on but that was sorted quickly and they still carried on playing. When ever you go to a DF concert you will be entertained with the drunken mumblings and outbursts between songs much between Herman Li and Sam Totman.
I look forward to seeing Dragonforce again very soon, I will never get tired going to their concerts as they perform so well and definately keep the crowd happy. If you ever get the opportunity DF are well worth watching one of the most if not the most talented band in Britain today.
Wish I could account more but feel a bit under the weather and am annoyed as my phone has died on me meaning I may have lost the pictures and videos from the gig.
