Hey so we're back from the West. It was nice, again. Let me give you a run down of shits that went down.
August 14th - we left at about 5:30 in the morning for Rapid City. The people in the van almost died about 40 minutes in the trip. The trailer is scary. The hearse made it til about 30 miles outside of rapid and broke the fuck down. tour! We got towed to Rapid and had our buddy luke take us to the show. Good show. Good times. Fast Track rules.
August 15th - Pierre (purr), SD. We played this car detailing shop, crazy. There was a crazy rain storm, it fucked John and Kyle up good. Purr is rad. Those Rapid City folk are the best. THANKS DUDES!
August 16th - Billings, MT. No show, yep. BUT! Kelly made us really awesome fajitas (FUH JIGH TUHS) and got us drunk. No complaints. His puppy is cute.
August 17th - Missoula, MT. We played a cool art space. This was by far one of the funnest nights of tour, I don't know why, it may have been the booze. But, I know I was wearing a lot of women's clothing when the show got out. Thanks TYSON!
August 18th - Seattle! the hearse got into town early and Kyle greated us with Rainer. I ended up getting hammered at about 4 in the afternoon. Hung over at the show...which was at the Josephine, a really neat art/show space. GAPE ATTACK! STREET MEAT!
August 19th - Seattle! again! it was a great hang out day with Kyle and Daryl. Hung at the space needle, really we hung out by this sweet vent blowing cold air. nice. We played Daryl's room that night - the Dog Park. Fucking awesome. Again, the rainer was flowing like wine. This shit ruled. THANKS DOG PARK!
August 20th - Olympia, WA. Midnight Sun, this was our second time at the sun. Cool space. We got called scenesters, which made sense, natali is a scenester. jerk. Someone lit the garbage can outside on fire too while Liarbirds were playing. Soon after a mysterious smell infected the room. No one knows who it was. THANKS GGTS!
August 21st - Portland! at the Hungry Tiger Too! We got thrown on this rad b-day show with rad bands, rar rad rad. We had a blast.Heart shaped Hate played a house somewhere else in town, they said it was cool. heh, scenesters. THANKS NOAH!
August 22nd - DRIVE FROM HELL DAY. The hearse (Jenna, Natali, and me) left at the portland drive to hang in San Francisco. A drive that should have been about 12 hours. It ended up being a 15 hour drive through the curviest route imaginable. Highway one is okay. phh. THE VAN! Their drive ended up being a 24 hour drive from Vancouver, WA to Panoma, CA! The trailer broke on the trip and shit...great day for all! TOUR!
August 23rd - Panoma, CA - our last show with Heart Shaped Hate. this was the ONLY outside show I have ever played and liked. We played with neato bands (Joyce Manor fucking killed it). Party in 100 degree heat. After the show we went to Party Marty's place in Riverside and party more. Oh and we finally got to watch Dumb and Dumber. yes! THANKS PARTY MARTY! STUD!
August 24th - Fullerton, CA - we played a cool house party with White Night and Danger Strangers! I woke up to a weed whacker in my face. Logan strikes again. I would write more, but honestly...I don't remember a whole lot of it. THANKS EVERYONE AT THE HOUSE!
August 25th - San Pedro, CA - we played a bar called Cal's with Danger Strangers. I wasn't allowed in. I heard the show went well. We were all pretty sunburned from the beach trip earlier on in the day. Sun screen is good, I will never learn my lesson. THANKS DANGERSTRANGERS!
August 26th - San Diego - once again, I wasn't allowed in. I drank a half bottle of Cisco and slept in the van for most of the show. After the show we started our trek to Vegas.
August 27th - VEGAS. we got into town and checked into our hotel at about 8 in the morning. Everyone went to bed, except Logan and I. We were buffet bound. We found our holy grail in the Planet Hollywood. Prime Rib from Breakfast. nice. We hopped on the shuttle and got a couple hours of sleep and started our mid- day vegas drinking. totally great. Cisco, Mad Dawg, Keystone, pool, hot tub, sun burns. After we all got good and drunk we decided to go back to that buffet. 30 dollars a plate, I was drunk. Anthony and I left and the rest of the dudes tried their hand at losing all their money. they did great.
August 28th - another day off, we hung out in the hotel most of the day. Some of us went to the Mandalay Bay to try their buffet, it was awesome...20 dollars a plate. Free Tequila shots were had at some casino. We went back to the motel and hung by the pool until around 9. It was still 111 degrees out. fuck me.
August 29th - Denver, day off. We drove all night to hang in Denver for a day. We were greated by Vaughn and his cool roommates. Their house is great. We all experienced the rocky mountain high. party.
August 30th - Denver, we were supposed to play the Blast-o-Mat but the show got moved to BAR BAR. That fucking place. Holy shit. Free Alcohol for all bands. Boiler Makers all around. The show was great we played with some rad hardcore bands. Logan hit me the head with his phone. THANKS CHUCK, BARBAR, AND JAGERBOMBS!
August 31st - Denver, Three Kings Tavern. We got to the show and the locals didn't end up showing up. So the nice girls at the bar decided it would be a good idea to have burlesque show. yeah. that happened. amazing. Bambi Ohara....if you're out there. We all miss you. DENVER!
September 1st - WIchita, KS - ever driven through Kansas? fuck. we played the Blue Lounge, cool bar, the bartenders were really nice. We played with the iii's, cool pop rock band. We ended up sleeping at an abandon truck stop. Kansas has a lot of those.
September 2nd - OKC. We got to OKC early. We went to a mall and met a cool girl in Hot Topic named Kylie, we ended staying at her house. Weird how things work out. Anyways, we wasted about 5 hours of our life there and headed to the Bora Bora Lounge. Big Venue, lots of touring bands, cool place to skate across the street. OKC home to the infamous 3.2 Incident of 2009. THANKS KYLIE AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT HELPED US IN OKC!
September 3rd - Lawrence, KS - back in the land where Dairy Queens go to die. fucking a. We played the Replay Lounge with Big Knife. A lot of free booze again. Blurry ending. Matt ended up sleeping on the stage for a bit. THANKS BIG KNIFE AND THE REPLAY LOUNGE!
September 4th - Joplin, MO. We played an awesome bar with a fucking dude of a bar tender named Dozer! We played with KROM and The Itch both bands killed it. We went back to The Itch's party pad and the rest is totally blurry...what was in that pink drink Dozer? Candy? THANKS THE ITCH!
September 5th - AMES, IA - Ames Progressive. Not one paying person! tour! We had fun, Liarbirds finally played some new songs that I will probably never hear again because Logan is a pansy. THANKS NATE!
September 6th - ELGIN! Homecoming show/Banner Pilot release. Great Gasthaus show. Natali threw the afterparty of the century at her parents party mansion! Heated Pool! JAGERBOMB! Endless supply of drinks. VERY VERY VERY blurry. Best party ever? My elbows hurt.
Great tour. I hate real life.
Future plans? Suck Kuts (our new recordings) will come out eventually on Cassette Deck. Ummm....I am gonna post a song off that right now.
