We’re in San Francisco today.  The last time we were here was two or three years ago.  It was right around the 4th of July, and we had a few days off to hang out.  It was amazing to see the Independence Day fireworks over the Golden Gate Bridge!  Tonight we’re heading back to Café Du Nord, the same club we played back then.  If the pattern of this tour holds up, we’ll be seeing a lot more of you tonight than the last time we were here.  That was definitely true of last night’s show at the Troubadour in L.A.!  L.A. is one of those industry towns, like New York and Nashville, where it sometimes feels like everyone in the room is very hard to impress.  You know that they’re either a better musician than you, and they know it, or they’re in the back of the room with their arms crossed, typing away on their blackberry.  Last night at the Troubadour was different.  It felt like a room full of our fans…people who love the music we make and just wanted spend a night enjoying what we do.  I admit, I was a little intimidated playing such a legendary venue.  I was well-schooled in the ways of 80’s rock by my older brother, and seeing those old pictures on the wall of Van Halen and Guns n Roses made me want to throw on some shredded jeans and a few bandanas.  Maybe next time.  We’re headed up the west coast all this week, so come say hello!  See y’all soon.

You guys were definitely in good company last night.  You fit right in with all those legends.  Amazing show.  We definitely enjoy what you do.  My friends who came with me last night want to know when you're playing L.A. again so they never miss another show!  You were very impressive, great energy in the room, as always!

Sorry I was not one of the first 17 to see you at the Cafe Du Nord. But, if I do say so, you have outgrown the Cafe du Nord. Oh, I am very lucky that I got to see you there last night. You guys are amazing. You harmonize like (corny as it sounds) angels. Everyone had a great time, including you guys! (I think) When are you coming back? Don't let it be another 3 years. Maybe next time you would like to try out the Great American Music Hall. (There aren't any stairs.) Or, we have a couple of cool outdoor shows. KFOG does KABOOM every May which has WAY better fireworks than the 4th...it's so true. And, 97.3 ALICE does NOW & ZEN every October and it usually coincides with Fleet Week and the Blue Angels are in town. 2 great times of the year to visit again...just saying!

Hey!

I am actually from Bakersfield, Ca. and got to make it to the L.A. show. You guys put on an absolutely amazing performance. I was sitting up at the top and loved how you guys came up to the balcony and sang something beautiful down to the audience. nice. haha. the garden would have been beautiful to here from there too. =). and that (six-part?) harmony on stones under rushing water was gorgeous (quick question... is the pianist from Jackson Waters? they played at my church a little while back and he reminds me of the lead singer and i kept trying to stretch my memory so i could remember, but i am not that awesome... haha.). Regardless, i just wanted say God bless you all and i hope you have a great tour and remember that where His light enters there shall be no more darkness. so shine that light. =).
