Hey folks, Harry here - I thought about writing this up on the site, but I figured I'd audition the idea here on my MySpace blog.

McCain kinda is beginning to seriously creep me out. When Barack Obama's team started slaming McCain for not knowing how many houses he owned, I kinda wondered... How out of touch McCain was. I mean, How do you not know that answer? Not only that, but his staff told the reporter McCain had 4 houses - but the real answer was apparently seven, so it isn't just that McCain doesn't know... but his peeps (who should know everything about McCain) didn't know.

Then - last night McCain went on Jay Leno's THE TONIGHT SHOW and to deflect the questioning about his house slip up, did he say - "I don't really dig into my wife's financial dealings, as I'm busy paying attention to the problems of this country and the house I'm going to be living in." - No. He didn't say that. Instead, he goes off on, "I spent 5 1/2 years in a prison cell without -- I didn't have a house. I didn't have a kitchen table. I didn't have a table. I didn't have a chair. I spent those 5 1/2 years... not because I wanted to get a house when I got out."

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN?

Is John McCain - Walter Sochak? You know, John Goodman's character from THE BIG LEBOWSKI - whose answer to everything is to get angry about his experience in Vietnam?

This got me to thinking... 5 1/2 years. John McCain was tortured for 5 1/2 years by the evil communists in Vietnam. Now - we don't have a lot of experience with politicians running for high offices who were prisoners of war - but the one experience I have with it is John Frankenheimer's THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE (1962). Now... When Laurence Harvey's RAYMOND SHAW was a Prisoner of War - that wasn't 5 and a half years... and they managed to use evil commie brainwashing techniques to turn him into a Political Assassin.

Now think about this. John McCain was a Prisoner of War for 5 1/2 years. Tortured so badly that he can't raise his arms over his head - and we're seriously considering him for President. And it isn't because he's saying, "I've suffered the horrors of war and as your leader I will do everything in my power to not have this happen to another son or daughter of this great country, so long as I live." - No - he's all about war. And at this moment where he's possibly a couple of months from the highest office in our land... at the very same time that CHINA - the leading Communist Country in the world is ascending to prominence... and our possible Future PRESIDENT was in Commie hands for 5 1/2 years.

What if... what if John McCain was brainwashed by the COMMIES to not press the button, when they attack and destroy the United States? What exactly happened for those 5 1/2 years? What's the long term consequences of 5 1/2 years of torture and abuse - and do we really want someone that went through that to be the person in charge of our country's responsibilities. Especially when he's displaying aggressive war mongering urges. THAT this war was completely unnecessary seems totally lost on him. Now it is all about some misplaced sense of PRIDE - which I thought was a Deadly Sin. I thought.

All I know is if McCain somehow becomes President - we need to make sure that he never sees a RED QUEEN. I'm serious. Things could get fucked up.

I seriously think we have more to worry about with McCain being all too willing to press the red button. If he was willing to step aside to let Bush get the nomination in 00, then the man obviously has no moral ground to stand on anyhow. 5 years can build a lot of anger and resentment. We'd be out of Iraq and back into Nam again.

What are you smoking tonight, Harry?

Harry, I find it way more likely he'd push the button with far less of a provocation than that.

Ahhh, but it's deeper than that.

McCain has already said that he wants to bomb Iran. Now, the way that would probably be done, at least to some prognosticators is with "new" smaller "tactical" nuclear bombs designed just for the purpose of taking out Theran.

But really, why would he do that.

Well, we know that Iran desires a nuke, in fact, they desire one so much they are willing to photoshop one into pictures to make us think that they already have it.

But why? Surely they have to know that a nuclear strike on Israel, especially with their one and only operating missle would mean they would be wiped from the face of the earth, right?

Well, of course they do, no matter how much we want to demonize and portray Achmedinijad as a complete madman, he's not suicidal.

The advantage to a nuclear missle is simply to make your country invasion proof. The only reason to have it, is to keep the big bad americans from bombing you. We invade, they nuke, mutually assured destruction, etc. ect.

So what is that important that we NEED to be able to invade, why would the hawks like McCain want to invade Iran so bad?

Simple, Iran built the world's first oil exchange that runs on anything except the good ol American Dollar, before this, if anyone, anywhere in the whole wide world wanted to buy or sell oil, they had to buy American greenbacks as the currency to do it in. This stabilized the American dollar, kept it relatively strong. Unfortunately, the Iranian exchange runs on the Euro, which means the dollar is signifigantly less stable.

Iran has had problems "invasion-proofing" themselves and are still vulnerable. We bomb them and just happen to destroy the bourse (their exchange) and suddenly the Dollar, and with it, the Chinese Yuan, are stabilized, and the fat old rich guys can stay fat.

Ah, but wouldn't the destruction of Iran galvanize the already pissed off Muslim militant/terrorists?

Assuredly, and they would probably find a way, if they haven't already, to get a nuke, and take out a major American city. McCain knows this, his chinese programming tells him this.

What city tho, Seattle? New York? LA? How to disrupt American life with one suitcase nuke?

The weather has given us an answer and that answer is Houston. Take out Houston, take out the refineries, take out America.

At that point, the Chinese, with their manufacturing capabilities could just swoop in, like big commie angels and rescue a country choking on the dust of their empty gas tanks. They wouldn't NEED to invade, President McCain would open the doors gladly to our new Overlords! "itll only be temporary! you didn't really USE those rights anyway!"

Meanwhile, Houston glows in the dark.

This makes me more "I don't know...." about McCain than ever.

I like the guy, but I think he's far too old to be President...and the fact that even his staff can't keep up with his wife's financial dealings makes me nervous....That's simple stuff...Can you imagine if his cabinet is equally inept on things that are REALLY important?

Also: Thanks, Harry for bringing back memories of the best film Sinatra ever made...Those of you who've never seen it? Don't rent it, buy the damn thing....Along with Seconds, it's another John Frankenhiemer masterpiece.

Well Harry, in case you're not familiar with the CIA and it's long history of brainwashing and mind control research and techniques, you should check out The Search for The Manchurian Candidate by John Marks. There are many more books on the subject but that's a good start. The fear and paranoia expressed in the Richard Condon book about that scenario was actually based on a real concern expressed by the U.S. military in the early 50's when American P.O.W.'s from the Korean war started coming home "changed men". They were described as sympathizing with the cause of "the enemy" and strongly criticizing their own country and it's government for it's actions in the war. This lead to heavy research and experimentation on hundreds of thousands of men and women in and out of the military establishment, with and without their knowledge and consent. Lives were lost and or ruined forever and the U.S. government was was finally forced to admit and take responsibility for these atrocities when they came to light after the Freedom of Information Act was passed in the early 70's. There were senate hearings in the mid 90's about the matter and several victims who survived testified and were paid reparations. Remember Sirhan Sirhan? The man who assassinated RFK? Over the years, those who studied the case closely have suggested that he was programmed assassin similar to the Raymond Shaw character in The Manchurian Candidate book and movie. Now the question is who programmed him to kill RFK? If you are among those who believe that certain elements of the CIA was responsible for assisting, planning and or carrying out the assassination of JFK then, you have your answer. Now, all this being said, I do share your concerns about McCain. Not the brainwashing part, but the angry, mindless warmongering, nation building at all costs while the country goes bankrupt and the value of the dollar continues to plunge as a direct result of the congress, the senate and the president continuing to allow the FED exist and to print millions more to finance these Neocon agendas, part. Oh, and lets not forget the billions that this government has borrowed from China, also to further these agendas. The collapse of our dollar is the biggest threat we face right now, but Neocon cronies like McCain and his supporters and advisers such as Henry Kissinger and the Counsel on Foreign Relations, would rather spout war propaganda and mettle with the affairs and lives of people in other countries, than address this issue. That being the case, you have to ask yourself: Are they really that ignorant or incompetent or is there something else going on here? Oh, and Obama is not off the hook with this either, but what can you expect from someone endorsed and advised by Zbigniew Brzeninski, National Security Adviser to President Bush, co-chairman of the Bush National Security Advisery Task Force and executive director of the Trilateral Commission. What does this all mean? Those not familiar with the history and agendas of the CFR and TC need to really do their homework before you go vote for anybody. Especially, the next president our this country. It's still WE THE PEOPLE right? or is it?

Eerily accurate comparison to Walter Sochak. I get really sick of people using their life experiences as pure fuel, instead of saying WHY their life experieces are going to fuel them. Complete sentences would also be nice in a candidate.

Wow, Harry. I was going to laugh, but then you said you were serious.

You know, I have a 401k. For all I know that 401k means that I'm heavily invested in an entire development community. I may be a momentary co-owner of a few hundred homes. That's how some investments work, you know. You have someone (in my case, my bank) manage your retirement fund for you, but you don't keep track of all of the day to day holdings.

McCain's investments have got to be way bigger than mine.

As far as running a campaign goes, McCain's making the same mistake Kerry did, trying to get everyone to look at his Vietnam record and ignore what he's done in the Senate all of these years.

So I can think of all kinds of reasons NOT to elect McCain, but yours takes the Dale Gribble cake.

He's still going to be President. The American people are too poor and scared to tolerate any drastic changes at the moment. Besides, if Obama wins, what is Jon Stewart going to have to talk about on his show?
