So… I’m back from Hawaii, I had a wicked time! Pete (Bassbin) and I had a great set; the crowd and venue were awesome. Thanks again to Chris and Alan from Global Dance Festival for bringing us out!
I could definitely move to Hawaii, it just has such a magical atmosphere. The weather, lighting and super chill/cool people are all just... very relaxing. I’m going back for a wedding in October and am going to spend time on some of the other islands. Do you hear me Hawaiian promoters? I’ll be there in October for a wedding… wink-wink, nudge-nudge! ;)
On the studio note: DJ Dan and I just did a more “club” oriented remix of “Operator” (one of the tracks we co-produced for his forthcoming album). The other is a remake of “More Bounce to the Ounce”, which is a lot of fun. I also just wrote a new Uberzone track called “I No You” and am currently working on the B-Side so I can make it the first release on “Gizmonik”. "Right Now" (the track on my page co-written with Lee Coombs) will finally be seeing the light on Lot49 as a single and on Lee Coombs new artist record. I'll have release dates soon.
On the production/mixing note, Adam Freeland’s new record “Cope” is on the horizon… I mixed 7 tracks for that record and have been doing a lot of mixing for Alex Metric as well as Lee Coombs. Been a busy last half year! Much more to come... mulling the idea of doing another Uberzone album...
