We would sign Bill HR 875 if we qualified. Here in the UK we have our own petition going! It effects us all the world over.
Good luck USA!!

I happily signed and forwarded the petition. I read the snopes article and I still believe it is a potentially dangerous bill because of the vague language. It doesn't appear to define who it is to regulate (ex. what is the definition of a farm? 100 acres? 1 acre? whether the grower sells their food or not?) or what the new requirements (ex. 'minimum' standards for pesticides) would be. That's in line with some of the negative press I've heard about it from alternative news sources too.
Sounds like it wants to create a body within the government that would have a lot of power regarding the growing of food right off the bat without defining or limiting them and that is never a good idea! Thanks for posting the info for the petition! -S

Thanks for posting this Dutchess. My uncle runs the family farm that has been there for 6 generations and we depend on the farmers markets for most of our fruits and veggies.
