Dear Touring Bands,

If we dont respond or aren't able to help, please don't think we're dicks.  There is really only one place locally we can set up shows - Sector 7G @ 631 Ellis St in Augusta, Georgia.

Three things:

1.  No drinking or smoking inside.  Even for bands.
2.  The venue guarantee is $2.50 per person or a minimum of $125.  That means bands get paid after the venue gets their money to cover operating expenses.  So if 20 people show up to a six dollar show, we have to pay Sector 7G five dollars, and there is no money for you.  We always split the door money between touring/out of town bands.
3.  People don't come to punk shows in this town if there is more than a couple shows a month, especially on weeknights.

I wish that we had a bar in town that would host whatever show we wanted to do, but the bars in this town don't really like us.  There are also no houses in town to host a show.

I'm not saying don't come here; shows are fun if we do it right, but it's impossible for us to book shows for everyone who asks.

I've been having the exact same problem lately. New Brookland Tavern sucks the same way. And all the houses people used to do shows at, people either moved out of or they got burnt down.

Hey, we appreciate all you do!  7 G has way better shows than most, only cause it comes down to the crazy shit they host.

or just send them my way, i may be able to hook something up at sparx or if their big enough Sky City.  And how odd is it that its cheaper to book at sky city then sector?

People were impressed by the sparx show(except for the ass who was putting you guys down to the owner the day before the show)so if i can get a constant PA there then the hope of doing punk shows would increase.

Sparx seems to be open minded though Shannon and Shelbie are cool, and they usually work by splitting the door evenly.  Bar tabs are USUALLY included for the show.  For example the last show i did there was you guys and graveyard boulevard at $3 a head and bar tabs of up to $50 per band. Round about 50 people paid at $150 total.  Take half of that away and that left my side with $75.  That went towards the cost of renting the PA(which was only $50 given how gracious Guapo was from false flag) and the guarentee for Graveyard boulaverd.  Despite that i still lost money, it was a lot left headache then having to book at sector, getting bands on time, dealing with the door, and lack of alchohal to console me.  I probably would of lost a lot more at Sector as well given the guarentee went from 75 to 125.

Plus it helps i get to run doors there so i dont have to constantly see how the doors doing and for other various reasons ;)

And once again thank you for being the guys you are and doing as many shows for free like you have before in order to make sure the touring bands can get home.
