This past week has been crazy.
Last Saturday was Orientation at school.  I had such a crazy day.  First off I usually spend every Friday night in a hotel room around Harrisburg.  I teach a Friday night class which ends at 11:10PM and I have a Saturday morning class which starts at 8:00AM, my commute home is close to an hour and a half, which is way too long.  Last week was the Corvette nationals in Carlisle which meant that hotel rooms were at a premium.  I ended up spending too much for a hotel room all the way up in Duncannon(1/2 hour north of Harrisburg.)  I got there around midnight and got to sleep around 12:30AM.  I had to be at the school by 7:00AM so I was up at 5:45 to shower, dress, and leave.  That gave me a solid 5 hours of sleep.
I got to the school by 7:00AM for Orientation.  I am on the Orientation Committee. Another ITT employee(Kristin) and I sat down and looked at the school layout to decide how we were going to handle all of the extra people who were going to be at the school that day.  Orientation was scheduled for a Saturday, which it very well should be.  The problem we have is that Saturdays are always full with classes.  What we did was move and combine classes and I took down over 150 hot dogs and we provided them outside to students who were left without a classroom or were made to have class outside(thank god it was a nice day.)
The problem came with some last minute changes.  I am in charge of the Multimedia Department and it was my job to meet with all of the incoming students and their parents.  I had it planned out that I was in a computer lab with a projector set up so I could show some student samples of work.  I had everything set up and was going to have 2 current students say a few words about the school.  Around 20 minutes before I was to start I got a card with a new room assignment.  No projector, speakers, etc.  It was too late by that time to do anything about it so I took it in stride.  I went in and winged my whole presentation.  I briefed the 2 students a little bit about the situation and let them say a few things to the students and their parents about tips and tricks they learned from being at school. Things that will help them to be successful.
After orientation I met back up with my class and they presented their final senior multimedia projects.  That went on until around 1:00PM.  I took them to he Appalachian Brewing Company for lunch after class.  I paid for it out of pocket but they are all graduating and it was my present to them.
After that I had a Wedding to go to for 2:30PM in Mechanicsburg.  I got lost and never found the wedding in time.  I did make it to the reception though.  The reception was at the Harrisburg Holiday Inn(West Shore Hardware Bar)in the ballroom.  I wqas there until around 8:00PM.
After that I drove back up to Shamokin.  I put Chase to bed around 9:30 and drove to the Haven(my restaurant) in Bloomsburg. I left my employees go home at 10:00PM an dworked the nighttime bar rush until around 3:30AM.  Shannon called me as I was cleaning up and said that Chase was up.  I stopped there on my way home, around 4:00AM.  I fed him and rocked him to sleep wich took me until around 5:30AM.  In case you are keeping note I am now going on 24 hours with only 5 hours sleep the night before.
I was so exhausted by the time I got him to bed I fell asleep on the couch in the living room, around 6:00AM.  I slept until 8:00AM when Chase woke up and that was it for my night.  I was on the move the whole rest of the day Sunday after my 2 hour nap.  It was nuts.
