I have just finished the fall quarter at ITT.  This is my third quarter completed and here is where I stand.  I am loving teaching.  My students are doing an awesome job on their standardized final exams.  ITT has a final exam they make us give out at the end of the class.  It is the same final exam across 93 schools across the country, and it is not too easy.  It is proctored with no books, no notes, and we cannot add any questions, nor take any questions away from it. My students are getting great grades on them.  Most of these final exams are worth 25 to 30 percent of their grades.  I have been giving out mostly A's so far to my classes as they finish up. 

  I also got incredible reviews by them on their surveys.  The students take anonymous surveys that allows them to rate the courses they took and us as instructors.  I got not one bad comment and a great overall rating.  We are rated on a scale that goes:
1 (very dissatisfied)
2 (dissatisfied)
3 (undecided)
4 (Satisfied) and
5 (very Satisfied) in 14 categories.  Out of a potential 5 overall my 70+ students rated me a 4.61!  I was so excited and pleased to get such a good rating. 

  Teaching is where I am sticking in my life.  I have officially closed my restaurant and transferred out of ITT MBA Master's program and into The University of Missourri's(Go Mizzou Tigers!!! 1 in the BCS College Football Ranking!) Master's Degree Program for Technology In Education.  I am not saying I won't do foodservice again, I hope to get a concession trailer and do fairs and special events, I am just not going to do it full time.  Between teaching, my new little boy, my master's program, and taking care of my grandfather I just had no time to take care of the business.  Teaching has been very fulfilling, check my affirmation statement on my main MySpace page.
