I've known for a long long time that my favourite colour is Purple. As far back as Kindergarten (or whenever I started watching the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers) I very strongly believed that a Purple Power Ranger was going to show up any day now.
But my favourite flower...I never really thought about it until recently, because: A) I'm graduating, I need a proper...flower thingy that graduates have and B) I think it's a great trivia tid-bit for a future boyfriend.
Roses are nice, especially white ones, but I don't think they're my favourite. Orchids have always been a family favourite but I think of them like a vacation spot you visit every now and then, but you don't go out of your way to visit it when you do. Tulips are cute but they always make me think of wooden clogs and braided pigtails under a paper hat.
Cherry blossoms are on my 'To-Consider' list, but do they count as flowers or trees? It doesn't really matter, really, I adore them either way. One of my goals is to attend a Japanese cherry blossom festival and see them all bloom before my very own eyes.
I also love flowers with huge blooms, like Birds-Of-Paradise or Mandragoras. Sunflowers too, childhood memories of my dad's prize winning sunflowers put 'em up on my list too.
We'll have to see~
