Hey folks, Vince here. My Andi Sex Gang documentary Bastard Art is screening this weekend. Here's the e-mail from Mr. Michael Park:
face front, new visionaries!
i
call this one the new vision close-to-home block party show, because
that's precisely what it is! just two floors under my apartment in the
mckibbin lofts, new vis has finally made it's way to bushwick!
in my own backyard, so to speak (well, actually, in the basement).
and boy, do we have a show for you all this time! once again, we've
outdone ourselves with 24 films in a row for you, taking up 8 hours of
screen time (or, at least, as many films as we can possibly fit in that
eight hours). and the greatest number of new vis feature films ever
strung together in one show, including the debut of vince corkadel's
fine documentary, bastard art. do not miss this one, folks. we
promise, if you only catch part of the show, that this will be an
astounding undertaking. this time, we have not only some of new
vision's stalwart caravan of artists gathered for screening, but the
added might of local bushwick artists, as well!
directions to get there are simple: just take the L train to the morgan
ave stop. get off at the bogart ave exit. hang a left to mckibbin
street out of the station. then, hang another left down mckibbin for a
block and a half. voila! you're there, the beautiful mckibbin lofts
(248 mckibbin st,. to be exact). be sure to check out at aka potion,
our local coffee shop the exact directions to where we'll be showing
our films (for now, we're in the basement, but that may change by
weeks's end).
tickets are $6 for the screening only, and $10 for both the screening
and live portions of the show. as usual for new vision, any
participating filmmakers in this show are admitted free of charge.
and now, our lineup:
