In 1866 Fredrick Olmsted and Calvert Vaux began building Prospect Park in Brooklyn NY. The park is home to the largest meadow in any U.S. park, Brooklyn's only lake (and Brooklyn's only paddle boats), a wealth of summer time shade, bbq pits, seven baseball fields and arguably the best outdoor music venue in New York City. On June 27th, to commemorate the park's 143rd anniversary, we're going to play there for FREE.
We've been holed up in the studio for a few weeks now and we feel it is time to leave the tape reels at home, break out the gold bond, and play LIVE. In front of PEOPLE. People like YOU. We're bringing along some friends of ours (who happen to be better than us at playing cello, and trombone and such) and we're trying to figure out how to procure a few hundred thousand christmas trees.
For better or for worse, this is the last time we're gonna make it to the Big Apple this year so come writhe around like the worms that you are.
Gates open at 6pm. These United States and Phosphorescent open the show so get there early!
