FourPlay String Quartet
They spit in the eye of classical romanticism, chain-sawing into these songs and then throwing them together in new shapes. - Rolling Stone
FourPlay cut their name across the globe for being a unique musical experience. A string quartet that use vocals and effects pedals, performing with a rock'n'roll ethos, they are credited for smashing the boundaries between classical and contemporary music.
They became known for covering bands like The Beastie Boys, Metallica, Jeff Buckley and The Velvet Underground. They were recognised for being staunchly independent, selling close to 15,000 CDs through gigs and mail order.
They self-produced two world tours, had performed on most television shows and radio stations of the day and then lost a member.
After various line-up changes they eventually settled into their new group and started work on their new album Now To The Future (In Stores June 26th)
